App 5.0: How to cancel a subscription purchased through the app

If you purchased a digital subscription to The Globe and Mail through the app, you will need to contact Apple or Google customer service for any billing-related issues.  When you cancel a subscription, the cancellation is not effective immediately.  Instead, you are cancelling at the end of the current billing cycle so you will not be charged for another monthly or annual payment.

  • If you have a monthly subscription, it means your subscription will end at the end of that month. 
  • If you cancel 5 months into an annual subscription, you’ll continue to have access until the end of the year, but will not be renewed.
